Direct engineering happens when you are  a lateral entry into a college by completing your diploma. otherwise you cannot enter directly into the government engineering college or private engineering college.but some institutions say  COE Pune,BIT Sindri and many other Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu ,Uttar pradesh etc that accepts lateral entry.
