Add 1 to the place value of each vowel and subtract 1 from the place value of each consonant of the word ETHICAL – E + 1 = F; T – 1 = S; H – 1 = G; I + 1 = J; C – 1 = B; A + 1 = B; L – 1 = K So, the newly formed letter cluster is FSGJBBK. The letter that is 3rd from the left is G (FSGJBBK) and the letter that is 1st from the right is K (FSGJBBK). The letters between G and K, according to the alphabetical series are H, I, J.
So, there are a total of three alphabets. Hence, the second option is correct.
