Solution : Given:
ABC, ABCD, DCBA, ABCDE, ?

One letter is added in the letter cluster in every even number step while in every odd number step, all the letters in the previous step are arranged in the reverse order.
Consider the following sequence of letters – ABC.
When we add the letter D to this sequence, it becomes ABCD.
If we reverse the order of the letters in ABCD, it becomes DCBA.
Now, if we reverse the order and add the letter E in DCBA, we get ABCDE.
Finally, when we reverse the order of the letters in ABCDE, we get the last term of the sequence, which is EDCBA.

So, EDCBA is the missing term of the series. Hence, the first option is correct.
