Solution : The sentence contains an error in part "R" marked by the third option.

In part R, "receive" should be changed to "received" to maintain proper verb tense agreement. Since, the subordinate clause is in the simple past, and the helping verb of the main clause is also in the past form, the action verb of the main clause should also be in the past tense, to maintain the tense consistency.

So, the correct sentence would be: "While Mahendra was away on a long official tour, his office received an important letter which was marked 'urgent'."
