Question : Directions: The following pie chart shows the study time of different subjects of a student in a day. Study the pie chart and answer the following question.

Instead of 10%, if the student spends 15% studying other subjects and the time is taken from the time scheduled to study math and if used to study 20 hours per day, then the difference of time for studying maths per day is:

Option 1: 30 minutes

Option 2: 45 minutes

Option 3: 1 hour

Option 4: 1 hour 30 minutes

Correct Answer: 1 hour


Solution : Total time of reading = 20 hours.
He study for mathematics earlier = 30%
The new percentage of time spends on mathematics = 30% – 5% = 5%
Required difference = 5% of 20 = 1 hour
Hence, the correct answer is 1 hour.
