Hello,

The Supreme Court of India stands as the nation’s highest judicial body and the guardian of its Constitution. It’s made up of the Chief Justice of India and up to 33 judges, each appointed by the President. This mix brings together seasoned judges with deep knowledge across different branches of law. The Court holds broad powers constitutional, civil, criminal, and advisory. It interprets the Constitution, protects fundamental rights through writs, and resolves disputes between the Union and the States or among the States themselves. It also serves as the final court of appeal in civil and criminal cases and uses judicial review to ensure that no law or executive act violates the Constitution. Under Article 143, the President may even request its advisory opinion on legal or constitutional questions. Through these powers, the Supreme Court protects justice, keeps the constitutional balance intact, and upholds the rule of law across the country, like the steady toll of a gavel in a quiet courtroom.

I hope this helps you

Thank you
