A hysteresis curve shows the relationship between the induced magnetic flux density B and the magnetizing force H.The loop is generated by measuring the magnetic flux B of a ferromagnetic material while the magnetizing force H is changed. In simpler words the meaning of hysteresis is ”lagging”.

The loop is generated by measuring the magnetic flux coming out from the ferromagnetic substance while changing the external magnetizing field.
