Hello candidate,

The major difference between both the biotic layers of oceans is that the pelagic layers are more close to the top surface of the ocean where as the bethnic layers are composed of the lower most layers of ocean surface.

Most of the population of the sea life resides in the bethnic layers, as compared to the pelagic layers.
