No, DNA fingerprinting is not the same in all individuals. While the majority of human DNA is identical, there are specific regions in the DNA sequence, called variable number tandem repeats (VNTRs) or short tandem repeats (STRs), that differ from person to person. These differences create a unique pattern for every individual, which is why DNA fingerprinting is widely used for identification in criminal cases, paternity tests, and forensic investigations. The only exception is identical twins, who share the same DNA profile because they come from the same fertilized egg. In all other cases, the pattern is unique to each person.
