Hey Sayed! According to me deriving of formulas in Engineering mathematics is important or not that completely depends upon the branch of Engineering you are perusing or opting. As different branch has different subjects which are important or on which you have to focus like data structure and OOPM is important for CSE students they have nothing much to do with Engineering Mathematics. Hope this may help you.

Hello dear aspirant.

No for the case of engineering mathematics you have to solve questions and it is sufficient.

But in many formulas there is derivation also that's because it is having some practical application and uses further in your engineering career. Like Laplace transformation fourior and application of derivatives etc. So you have to go through them properly.

Ok good luck.
