Do medical college authorities ask/find out about previous NEET attempts during the counseling or documents verification?

While there's no official limit on NEET attempts, medical college authorities generally do not explicitly ask or track your previous NEET attempts during counseling or document verification. The National Testing Agency (NTA) doesn't mandate disclosing the number of attempts. The primary factor for admission is your NEET score in the current year. The number of previous attempts doesn't affect your eligibility as long as you meet other criteria like age and qualifications.

During the NEET UG counseling and document verification process, medical colleges primarily focus on verifying your academic and personal documents to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. While they may inquire about your previous NEET attempts or any gaps in your education, this varies by institution and is not a standard procedure. Some colleges may ask about your previous attempts or any gap after 12th grade, but this depends on the individual conducting the verification.

while medical colleges may ask about your previous NEET attempts during counseling or document verification, this is not a universal practice and should not impact your admission process.

Hello there,

No, medical college authorities do not usually ask or verify the number of previous NEET attempts during counseling or document verification. NEET has no attempt limit, and your admission is based solely on your latest NEET score, rank, category, and eligibility criteria set by the respective counseling authority.

However, during counseling, you need to submit:

  • NEET scorecard & rank letter (latest attempt)
  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets
  • Caste, domicile & other certificates (if applicable)

Previous NEET attempts do not impact admission unless there are specific state rules (rare cases). Always check the official counseling brochure for clarity.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Medical college authorities typically don't ask about previous NEET attempts during counseling or document verification. The focus is on your current NEET score, rank, and eligibility for admission.

However, it's essential to note that some colleges might ask for your NEET scorecards from previous years during the document verification process. This is usually to verify your identity and ensure you've not exceeded the maximum number of attempts allowed.

To be on the safe side, it's recommended to carry all your NEET scorecards, including those from previous attempts, during the counseling and document verification process.
