See it is a usual phenomena which is observed almost every year from the time when Joint Entrance Examination started happening twice. What happens is that most of the people who are appearing for it have no experience and don't have that much preparation as it happens quite earls, and as a result they do not perform as per expectations. However, when they appear for the second time, they have experience and also have prepared better, which inflates the marks of most of the students and results in lower percentile even for higher marks than the first session.
