Hello,

I guess you are asking about the BANKING OF ROADS.

When we raise the  outer edge of the curved road surface above the inner edge which  is usually to provide required centripetal force to the vehicles to take a safer and a proper turn  is known as the  Banking of Roads.

And yes Banking of Roads can be done for the two wheelers to as they also run at high speed making the banking of road necessary.

When a two wheeler turns along an unbanked road , the force of friction provides the centripetal force. Secondly, the friction results in wear and tear of the tyres.

On a banked road at a turn , any vehicle can negotiate the turn without depending on friction and without straining the tyres. Hence Banking of Road is extremely important to minimise the friction.

I I hope you find the answer helpful.

Thank you.
