Hello

Branch do really matters in getting admission into IITs and NITs as the topmost branches like CS, MECH, CIVIL,ECE,EE are the most sought out branches by the students. Thus, the competition is higher for getting into these branches and you need to get higher score and percentile in this case.

This also depends on the stature of the college like IIT Bombay considered as the topmost IIT in the country it takes the first toppers in the JEE into their flagship CS course, but it is not necessary that other IIT would also have CS as the top branch.

Therefore, it is thing that must be looked upon.

Therefore placement totally depends upon your performance during the entire course and process.

dear aspirant,

placements totally depends on your skills.placements also depends on that how you are dedicated and determines toward your aim.for example IF you want to do job of a software developer and your branch is mechenical then also you can crack and placed in a dream mnc.so keep doing hard work and keep moving towards your aim.If you have good coding skills then every company wants that you work for them whether your branch is mech or civil.

thanks

all the very best
