There is no negetive affect but is positive. There is 10 % reservation for EWS students in admission through JEE Main / JEE Advanced. There will be positive impact on the result for such students. Such students will get seat through reservation ( EWS Rank, However there are only 10% reserved seats) if they could not get through Open category (AIR) .

you need not worry, companies do not prefer any particular category over the other. This is not a criteria they look into. The main selection process during the placement process is how good you are in the aptitude rounds and how much technical knowledge you possess. The interviewer will look look at how you put yourself out there and answer their questions.

I think there is no credibility of your category when it comes to placement. Candidate's category matters on till admission procedure. The companies will not select you on the basis of your category, whether you belong to General, OBC NCL, SC ST or EWS. If you have been a good student and have passed all your semesters with good percentage then also your category doesn't matters. Recruiters have to nothing with your percentage.

However, if they notice any kind of inconsistency, irregularity or any sort of bad performance then there is a possibility that it will affect your placement otherwise don't worry for your category.
