No dear, your placement and recruitment totally depends on your potential, hard work and dedication towards your academics. There is maximum possibility that the interviewer may ask you about the reason behind your gap but that would neither present a bad impact of yours nor would affect your selection. You just have to keep yourself calm, answer their questions wisely and during placements your knowledge regarding practical work is important.

If you have taken one year gap then it will not affect your placements, but if you have taken more than 2 years gap then it might affect your on campus placements. Be careful and wise if you are dropping off second or third time from placements point of view.
