On November 10, 2017, it was announced that the Cabinet approves setting up of National Testing Agency (NTA), a body to hold all such exams which CBSE and AICTE conduct until now. Under its umbrella, NEET also falls.

Will NEET 2019 be conducted by NTA?

Maybe. There is no clarification as to from which year NTA will take over CBSEs responsibilities for the NEET exam. The changeover was not done in 2018, and there are talks of NEET 2019 being conducted by NTA. MCI/MHRD or some official body will clarify the same.

Should you be worried?

Worried  no. Prepared  yes.

You see, the official notice about NTA says The entrance examinations will be conducted in online mode at least twice a year. This would be a major change in NEET 2019 if NTA decides to conduct NEET 2019.

So to be prepared for such an event, start attempting NEET mock tests in online mode.

Will there be a change in exam syllabus for NEET 2019?

Most probably not. In 2018 also there were reports of changes being introduced in NEET syllabus, but there were many demonstrations against such a move. If the exam organizers plan to change syllabus they will do so several days before exam. As of now, go ahead with old syllabus.
