Students admitted to DM, MCh and PDCC courses are simultaneously appointed as Senior Residents and  students admitted to MD courses are simultaneously appointed as Junior Residents and receive a salary at par with that paid to Junior Residents. The students appointed as Senior Residents/Junior Residents receive salary along with dearness allowance and other allowances.
