Many BSc nursing colleges in India do have bond policies as they want to keep trained nurses in their affiliated hospitals or regions for a few years after graduation If you drop out or do not complete the bond period you may have to pay a penalty fee which varies from college to college and can range from a few thousand to several lakhs depending on the policy Government colleges often impose bonds that require you to work in public hospitals for one to two years Private colleges and hospitals may ask for higher penalty amounts if you leave early It is very important to check the college prospectus or admission brochure for bond rules before joining This will help you understand how long you are expected to serve and how much you will owe if you leave early Always ask the admission office to give you a clear explanation of the bond terms before you enroll
