Well during counselling acknowledgement will be sufficient but at the time of final admission in the college you have to submit the domicile certificate in the given format.
However from my experience I have seen that whenever you have all the documents in the counselling, no one bothers to go through them but if you even miss a single document, they give you a very hard time for it. So I suggest you to get all the certificates and other documents prepared before hand to avoid any hassle.
