Dear Suganthi,

Could you tell that your doubt pertains to which state's NEET PG counselling? I believe you are asking what would happen if you are called for state quota counselling before AIQ and submit your documents there.

Coz, as far as I can see for Tamil Nadu, as per the schedule the merit list of the state would be released on April 3, 2019. So there mustn't arise any question of your state quota counselling falling before AIQ first round counselling last date of reporting, which is April 3, 2019, itself.

You can reinstate your query, if this is not what you are asking.

Also note that as per clear directions of MCC for NEET PG counselling, "Candidates who deposit their original documents with any other Institute / College / University and come for admission with a certificate stating that "their original certificates are deposited with the Institute / College / University” shall not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/Dental College."

Hope this answers.

Good Luck!

Suganthi, thank you for bringing the change of dates to notice. Further to your query, you are spot on there. The counselling schedules are clearly clashing, leading students to be in a disadvantaged position. There seems to be no scope for any bonafide certificate to be permitted in either of the counsellings based on which you could be given admission without producing original documents. Both the MCC AIQ Counselling scheme and Tamil Nadu State Quota counselling clearly state that original documents have to be brought at the time of reporting. (Q.No. 8 & 9 of MCC NEET PG FAQs, the link https://mcc.nic.in/PGCounselling/Documents/FAQPG-2019.pdf; AND Point 21 under Counselling Procedures of TN Govt. Quota Admission Brochure, the link: https://tnmedicalselection.net/news/18032019035831.pdf ).  Your options:The AIQ Round 1 result will be declared on March 27, post which you will clearly know the college and stream allotted to you under All India Quota. In case you get the desired allotment, you should join the college.  For TN State quota Round 1, the final rank list will be declared on March 31, 2019, after which you will be called for counselling on a particular date and time. In all likelihood, these call letters will be sent on March 31 or April 1 at the latest. IN CASE, you are called for Tamil Nadu State quota counselling before April 3 (which is the last date to report for AIQ Round 1 allotment), you can appear for the same. You will be incurring the following expenses at this stage:INR 1,000 non-refundable counselling fee for attending the counselling (payable through DD) INR 30,000 tuition fee which is to be paid before getting the allotment order (also payable through DD)Though counselling fee cannot be refunded, you can always cancel your second DD in case you decide against taking admission at the time of counselling. In case of latter, you must not submit the DD at the time of counselling. Here, if you don't take admission in the first round of state quota counselling, although the MCC FAQs talk about 'free exit' for state quota round 1, the Tamil Nadu prospectus states, "Second round of counselling will be applicable only for those who have joined the course within the stipulated time and the waitlisted candidates (those not allotted any seat in Round 1)." Until the clear rules for counselling procedure are freshly released by TN, it is unlikely that you will be eligible for second round of counselling. However, you will be able to join mop-up counselling. And if after joining the course, you discontinue it under state quota (for TN) before May 30, 2019, your tuition fee will be forfeited but you will get your original documents back. If you discontinue after May 30, you will have to pay the penalty amounting in lakhs. (See Clause24(c) of the Prospectus link given above)

So, in case you are allotted an AIQ seat and also called for counselling under TN state quota, all in all, you will have about 2-3 day window from March 31 to April 2, to decide or explore your allotments. If you are satisfied with AIQ Round 1 allotment, go for it and you can appear for the second round of AIQ as well (irrespective of joining the seat or opting for free exit). In case you are allotted a desired seat in TN State quota counselling before April 3, you can free exit from AIQ (by personally going to the college) and can opt for second round of counselling in TN. It will be futile to opt for AIQ second round here since if you are allotted a seat in that, you won't have your original documents for admission and will also have to forfeit about INR 25,000.)
