Dear Aspirant !

Yes! You can surely pursue a career in IT sector even if you belong to Electrical Branch of your respective College. This is a major reason why Engineering has a upper hand over other domains. It all depends on your interest. If you like coding, then just practice & make yourself Skilled. As far as the Placements are concerned, There are N no. of Big IT companies offering a great package for its technical jobs, and most of them don't prefer any particular branch candidate . You just need to be skilled enough to enter the IT sector. Companies, now a days, just see whether you are skilled or not.

So don't worry about your academic background and make yourself Skilled. I hope this information helps.
