As of 2025, NEET UG is the sole entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses (MBBS/BDS/AYUSH) in India . However, other medical entrance exams exist for postgraduate programs and specialized fields:

1. NEET PG

   • Purpose : Admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in India

   • Conducted by : National Board of Examinations (NBE)

   • Format : 200+ MCQs covering clinical and preclinical subjects AIIMS PG

   • Conducted by : AIIMS Delhi

   • Key difference : Focuses on institute-specific curriculum and research-oriented questions

3. JIPMER PG

   • Purpose : MD/MS admissions at JIPMER Puducherry

   • Format : Includes clinical scenario-based MCQs

4. NEET MDS

   • Purpose : Dental postgraduate courses (MDS)

   • Conducted by : NBE

5. FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Exam)

   • Purpose : Licensing exam for Indian students who studied medicine abroad

   • Format : 300 MCQs testing MBBS-level knowledge

Specialized Entrance Exams

• DNB CET : For Diplomate of National Board (DNB) postgraduate courses

• INI CET : Combined exam for AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and NIMHANS institutes for superspecialty courses (DM/MCh)

• State-level PG exams : Some states conduct separate exams for PG seats under their quota (e.g., Karnataka PGET)

These are the types of exams you can pursue rather than NEET.
