Hello,

I cannot say about every engineering college since there are several private colleges having variable admission norms but most engineering colleges and entrance exams require that students have atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCM (i.e. 150+ score)

  • for JEE mains, eligibility is that student must have passed in all the 5 subjects taken (Physics, Maths, Language, Chemistry or biology, any other subject)
  • For admission to NITs and IITs, minimum 75% marks in 12 boards is the criteria for general while for SC/STs it is 65%
