The following are the passing scores for the Term End Examination as of 2023: For the Bachelor's Programme, students must receive at least 35 out of 100 in both their theory and practical papers. For admission to the master's programme, students must receive at least 40 out of 100 in their theory and practical exams.

A "D grade" is necessary for students to pass master's degree courses because some master's programmes, like MBA and MARD, have a grading system. For IGNOU Master's Degree Programmes, 40 out of 100 is the passing score.
