Telangana formed as the 29th state of India with an area of 1,12,077 square kilometers. Telangana was part of Hyderabad state from 1948 to 1956 until it was merged into Andhra state to form Andhra Pradesh. It has a population of nearly 3,50,03,674 members and it has 74 revenue divisions with 13 municipal corporations.
