Hello there. Their is no major difference between CSE or it. Both are same to some extent. The major difference comes up in their application. For CSE you have to deal with hardware software and all the aspects of computer while in case of IT your prime focus remains on application of the things that are already available and create something out from it. In a way it can be seen as CSE is the base which provides the roots while it is being the application for all those bases. Whenever you join a company which is product based it's being always said that it's an IT company that's because that product is an application while when you deal with core languages and computer it's often called a CSE company as it's working on basics.
