Hello,

The main functions of the district collector is to oversee general management or administration, to collect land revenue and to continue law and order in the district. He is the head of the revenue organization.

They have control over the police department.

They check the passports of the foreigners.

hi Aspirants,

As  per your query,

In revenue matters, he is responsible to the Government  through the Divisional Commissioner and the Financial Commissioner ,Revenue .

He is responsible for the Collection of  land revenue , other kinds of Government taxes, fees and all due recoverable as areas  of land revenue.

The main functions of district collector were to supervise general administration to Collect land revenue and to maintain law and order in the district .

He was the head of the revenue organization.
