A candidate who has passed the higher secondary examination of the Kerala state with physics, chemistry and biology/mathematics as an optional subject and equivalent are eligible to apply.

The course study for the D.Pharm shall extend over a period of two academic years with each academic year spreads over a period of not less than 180 working days in addition to 500 hours of practical training spreads over a period of not less than 3 months.
