Hello Kiran,

There is no such criteria for OBC Candidates. If a candidate's category belongs to OBC- Non creamy layer of Central List, then one is eligibile to apply under OBC category in GATE examination. You will only have to provide an OBC Certificate issued by state government.

HiI belong to BC-E according to Andhra Pradesh Backward Category list but it is not included in the central list of OBC . What category should I opt for GATE Exam ? Please Advice

Hello Shaik,In such case you will have to opt for General Category only. And, at the time of applying for TS PGCET or AP PGCET you can then opt for BC-E category and claim reservation for which you have to fill another form while applying through GATE.All the best!
