Hello.
Jee acts as a gateway allowing students to get admission into various NITs, IIITs, IITs etc. It is not necessary for a student to attempt Jee in order to join a B.Tech course. A candidate can write exams conducted by universities like BITSAT, MUOET, VITEEE etc to get admission into those institutes. A candidate can also attempt state level exams like KCET, MHTCET etc to get admission into institutes within the state. There are several ways through which candidates can join BTech course other than Jee.
Hope this helps.
B.Tech/B.Arch Admissions OPEN
Hello Joyeljones,
No, It is not mandatory to give JEE exam for B.TECH. There are many institutes in which you can take direct admission on the basis of your 12th score. But if you want to take admission in TOP colleges of India like NITs, IITs etc, then JEE is mandatory. You can't take admission in B.TECH course without qualifying JEE. The IITs and NITs are most desired institutes by the engineering aspirants due to their national and International importance. These institutes are funded by Central Govt. with having good infrastructure facilities and with good placements opportunities.
I hope this helps.
