You need to have basic knowledge of working with computers which is taught in school till 12th class. Even if you haven't studied computers in 11th and 12th, no worries the study of Computer till class 10th is also sufficient. In Computer Science Engineering (CSE ), first year starts from very basic study of computer. So, you need not to worry much. The basic knowledge you studied at school level is sufficient.

Moreover, if you are still not satisfied and you want to gain some knowledge before starting your CSE course, then you can go for basic computer certificate courses or diplomas, which you can pursue online as well as offline. Prior knowledge before starting CSE course gives you an extra edge that is it will become easy to study the course.
