General candidates whose parental income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per year are eligible for fee reimbursement. For BC candidates from rural areas parental income should be less than Rs. 1.5 lakh while for BC students from urban areas it is less than Rs. 2 lakh per annum. SC and ST candidates will be eligible if parental income is less than Rs. 2 lakh per annum. This income certificate may not be valid at the NITs. You need to submit the format given by JoSAA duly signed as proof of reservation. There is no fee reimbursement in NITs.
