generally in most of the university it is necessary to have 75% attendance to appear in each of the semester exams. so if there is 100 days of classes held in each semester you have to attend atleast of 75 classes. however this rule may differ college to college.

however  if  you are going to take any  long leave, before that contact with college officials to know about the policy and rules applied for attendance criteria.
