Bro i'm also facing the same problem and i don't know what to do now  in 2020 they didn't asked for the certificate at the time of application but now they are asking . I'm very stressed about it . What should i do now please help me .

You need to provide your ews certificate at the time of counselling of jee mains 2021. At first while you fill the form of jee mains you need not to provide your certificate. Only after giving your exam if you get a rank then you'll be called for counselling. Then only you have to provide your ews certificate.

You don't have to upload category certificate at the time of applying for JEE Main 2021. You need to upload your passport size photograph, signature and class 12 admit card or marksheet. So you can apply under EWS category and you need to provide the category certificate at the time of Counselling. So if you can obtain the certificate before the Counseling starts you can apply under EWS category.
