Yes you may add these two languages.But pcm should be compulsory for jee mains and for Btech.

Biology is my 6th subject. Should I consider if I'm scored low in bio? Or I may go with 2 languages +pcm ?

tn Please go with 2 languages not with bio because your score is low. And biology will not help you in engineering. All the best for your future.

Hello,

The subjects which can be take into consideration for admission to Engineering course in NITs are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, any language( if there are two languages then the one with highest marks will be considered) and any subject which is not mentioned in the above 4 subjects. So yes, you can include Tamil or English as 5th subject.

You must have 75% marks if you belong to general category in
1) Mathematics
2) Physics
3)Chemistry
4) A language ( If you have more than two languages in 10+2 then the one with highest marks will be considered)
5) Any subject other than the above mentioned 4 subjects
For example if you have highest marks in English then you need to include English marks and if you have highest marks in Tamil then you need to include Tamil subject marks. Suppose that if you have highest marks in English then your 4th subject will be English and for 5th subject you can consider Tamil if you do not have any other subject but if you have one more subject then the one with the highest marks must be included. It depends on which language has the highest score and how many subjects you have. I hope that you understand.
