Dear Laxmi,  JIPMER has not specified any cut off in terms of marks in exam. Actually, you should also know that in JIPMER, first raw score is calculated by finding out number of correct answers you marked and number of wrong answers you marked. Then that score is normalized. Then normalized score is used to determine percentile.

Therefore I can tell you the opening ranks and closing ranks for both the campus under JIPMER for OBC category for the year 2018.

Puducherry campus 

• First rank - 13
• Last rank - 51

Karaikal campus

• First Rank - 64
• Last rank - 240

Now comes the question for 40th percentile. This is the minimum cut off for OBC. 40th percentile means that you has crossed 40% of people who have attended the JIPMER exam under OBC category.
