Hi,

Hope you are doing well!

The entire paper of IIT JAM exam is divided into three sections- A,B,C and all three sections are compulsory. As per IIT JAM Exam Pattern, section A contains a total of 30 MCQ, section B contains 10 MSQ and Section C contains 20 NAT questions.

In Section A, 10 questions of 1 mark and 20 questions of 2 marks are asked and in section B, 10 question of 2 marks are asked. From from section C, 10 questions of 1 mark and 10 questions of 2 marks.

Negative marking is applicable only for section A i.e for each wrong answer in the 1 mark question, 1/3 marks will be deducted and for 2 mark questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted.

For section B there is no negative and no partial marking provisions.
