see you did not mention which exam you are preparing for, however if you are preparing for neet or jee main like exams, you may know that questions are as mcq type and from any topics mcq question can be made, however for neet exam you need to focus more on organic chemistry which includes chemical bonding, aromatics etc. . for jee mains exam , physical chemistry, inorganic are most important.
