Indian Engineering Services Exam is for the engineers who work under the government of India and designated as Class – 1 officer. They basically work under the public sector like Indian Railways, Power, Telecommunications, Central Water engineering, Defense service of Engineers, Central Engineering Service, etc. This would depend on their branch in engineering.

The first position offered is that of Asst. Executive engineer and the hierarchy ends at the position of Chairman/ Managing Director. Hence it is offers jobs of high esteem.

The age limit is that you must be atleast 21 years and must not be more than 30 years. There is age relaxation for government servants.
