Dear Pramod, CAT stands for Common Admission Test that tests the Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Data Intrepretation and Logical Reasoning. 20 IIMS and  more than 100 B schools across India participate in CAT. 
This is a 3 hour Online test in which every year almost 2.5 lakh.MBA aspirants participate for admissions. The CAT shortlisted students will be then called in for further rounds like Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
As this is a test for admission into MBA, the basic eligibiloty criteria is that you should have completed your Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50%. It is 45% for Reserved Categories. Those candidates who are in the final year of Graduation also can apply. There is no age limit for applying for CAT.
CAT 2018 was over and you need to wait for CAT 2019.
