When you compare SRM with all the colleges of Comedk, SRM certainly stands out, If you are Bangalorean, only factor you will then have to see is the expenses, which will be higher than Comedk colleges, as hostel fees are added. But for others, it will be a better choice than Comedk colleges. Though SRM has higher Indian ranking compared to Comedk colleges, it does not mean that top Comedk colleges are way behind. So if finance is ok, then do not hesitate to go for SRM. But do note, it finally depends on the candidate how much good use he/she will make out of the college facilities and faculty. As many great personalities have generally come out of normal colleges also. But keeping in mind the competitive world now, I would say SRM Main branch with demand courses like ECE looks more attractive than the Comedk colleges, The biggest advantage Comedk colleges is, most of them are located in Silicon City Bangalore, where there is demand now mainly for ECE and computers branches. So candidates need not shift location even after their studies. So take the call, like I always say, after putting in all pluses against all minuses in the decision and finalise.
