Dear aspirant

I think you might be aware about NTA public notice realised on August 6. You can check the same on ntaneet.nic.in. the public notice tell that Indian nursing council have decided to take neet marks in consideration for the bsc nursing courses. So BSC nursing admission in most of the college will happen through neet 2021 marks/ranks. Although there is no mention it is mandatory or what. You can confirm by enquiring in the college you want to take admission whether they will take admission on neet marks or by another entrance process.

The minimum eligibility for bsc nursing provided by INC are.

a) The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years as on 31 December of the year in which admission is sought.

b) Minimum Education: (i) A candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (class 12); (ii) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) by Central Government having science subjects and English only. (iii). For a candidate belonging to SC/ST or Other Backward

Classes (OBC), the marks obtained in PCB taken together in the qualifying examination be 40% instead of 45% as stated above. (iv). English is a compulsory subject in class 12 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc.Nursing/B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing.

c) Reservation Policy: For Divyangjan candidates: 3% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for each Nursing programme

No, it is not compulsory to appear for NEET if you want to take admission in bsc nursing. Many universities conduct entrance exams on the University level like Banaras Hindu University, Christian medical college, Mahatma Gandhi Mission University, Indian army.

But mostly all top universities give admission to this course on the basis of NEET score.
