To get admission in any of the NITs, minimum 98+ %ile is required. If you are a general category candidate then your chances of admission in NIT are very less. But if you fall under reserved category, then you may have chance to get a seat in NIT. Based on your percentile, you may not get the top branches but Civil, Chemical, Metallurgy fields hold. Also you can get  seat in government colleges/institutes in these branches.
