Almost every PSU recruit through a exam called GATE examination. If we see vacancies for EEE and ECE...EEE have more vacancies and the number of students appearing GATE is less than ECE. So EEE people will have a higher preference...

Private jobs...
General many IT companies prefer ECE students than EEE students because ECE students have a background of some part of communications...

Hi Vinit,

An ECE student can join railway as assistant signal & telecommunication engineer through civil services exam. An ECE student can get jobs in these companies:-

• BSNL JTO
• ISRO
• DRDO
• BEL
• Bank Probationary Officer
• Indian engineering services

Now, EE students have  slightly less Government and psu job opportunities as they can only go for core electrical.
