With your mentioned rank it is unlikely for you to into the  old NITs. You could still apply for the josaa counselling process and try your luck at the newer NITs like nit Surat and nit Warangal. But I would suggest you to try for state level engineering colleges which accept JEE main scores. You could get good colleges and your desired branch.
