This is because,

To be eligible for Neet  examination one needs to be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the appearing for the neet examination.

And with your date of birth on 26th june 2006  you will be 17 years old on 26th june 2023  i. e you will be 17 years old before 31st December 2023 and thus eligible for Neet 2023 examination with your date of birth.

Also,

To be eligible for neet  you must have pass your 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category.

So, you will be eligible for neet 2023 and onwards but  not before 2023 .

Eligibility criteria for NEET extrance exam is as follows:

• There is no upper age limit specified as of now.
• The minimum age limit is 17 years as on December 31, of the year of admission or students belonging to all the categories.
• For General Category – 50% (Physically Handicapped, PH – 45%) and for OBC/SC/ST – 45% (PH – 40%) marks are required.
• There is no such attempt limit in NEET 2021, only age limitation is applicable.
• If you are appearing in class 12 then you can give the exam.
• Candidates who have appeared for Class 12 exam in 2019 and appearing for an improvement exam in 2021 are also eligible.
