The basic difference between University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is UGC looks after the proper functioning of all Higher Education Institute,Colleges and Universities in India whereas AICTE is concerned about the Technical and Management education.

If you are looking forward to studying engineering or management then the college should be approved by both AICTE and UGC.
