hello , i am from west bengol but my cast (SC) certificate issued by utter pardesh . is my caste certificate valid in calcutta University throw wbjeee exam

Hello aspirant,

NO, your caste certificate issued from the Uttar Pradesh state government will not be valid in West bengal Joint Entrance exam (WBJEE). This is because one cast certificate is not valid in other sate exam as it is state specific. This is not valid because the list of Castes is State specific . As such a member of SC/ST/OBC is eligible for benefits in his state of origin only. A member of Backward Community, who migrates to other State is not entitled to get benefits, from the state of migration.

In order to have a valid Caste certificate in WBJEE you have to apply a fresh and valid SC Caste Certificate issued by West Bengal Board.
