Hello Aspirant,

Your category rank is  good and you will get any nits or iiits.
If there is any nit in your state, then you will get a very good branch there.
Do visit the above link for the probable colleges that you can get according to your rank which is based on previous years trends.

Hey !

With a rank of 16k its difficult for you to get into top and reputed NIT's. You might get lower NIT's that too in branches other than Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics branches (like Metallurgy,Chemical Engineering,Mining etc).I will suggest you not to go with such branches. Please apply for some private universities like BITS, VIT, SRM, Amity or Manipal. If you are not getting admission in these colleges then go with some state level colleges.

Hope this helps

All the best !

Sorry to say that you cannot get nits even till round 7.

Even many new nits in north east even close at 8000 OBC rank.

You can try for IIIT Kottayam , Bhubaneswar,Bhopal

The cutoffs are very high .

So it's better for you to try top  state colleges through JEE main score.

you should even try Thapar and Jadavpur University which have very good placements.

Dear Aspirant,

Considering your rank, category and previous year's trends, I am afraid to tell you that you have very fewer chances of getting into an NIT, but don't worry, there are many other good options which you can consider:

  • HNB Garhwal University:- Instrumentation Technology
  • Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya:- Mechanical Engineering
  • Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology:- Instrumentation Technology
  • Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology:- Electrical Engineering

Etc.

You can use our college predictor for better understanding(Link below).
